The Shikara Earrings are inspired by the Shikhara, a wooden boat found in Kashmir's Dal Lake and other water bodies of Jammu and Kashmir. Like the Venetian gondolas, they are a cultural symbol of Kashmir and are decorated with flowers and silks. They today also incorporate carved wooden elements with geometric cut out patterns.
